The Canadian federal government and British Columbia have approved the ambitious Ksi Lisims LNG project, a $10-billion liquefied natural gas terminal planned for the Pacific Northwest coast. Designed to produce up to 12 million tonnes of LNG annually by 2029, the facility will be powered primarily by renewable hydroelectricity. The project marks a turning point for Canada’s energy strategy, boosting exports, creating jobs, and aiming to lead the world in low-carbon LNG.
